2017 in Review

JANUARY

January of 2017 started off rough for us as Esther was hospitalized with a kidney infection over New Years weekend. Luckily she has gotten much better since then and we were able to get a diagnosis and a treatment plan for her, resulting in her being sick much less often for 2017 than previous years. Also in January I blogged about new years resolutions ( which we completed all of!) and Adele turned one on January 28th.

FEBRUARY

In February we celebrated the girl's joint birthday party. We also visited the State Capitol and we bought a house!

MARCH

On March 4th Esther turned three years old. Adele turned 14 months old in March and we moved into our new house. It took a lot of adjusting for all of us.

APRIL

In April I posted a house tour part 1 and part 2. Grandma came to visit, we watched General Conference, and celebrated Easter.

MAY

In May I did a day in the life post, we visited Dinosaur Park and took a trip down South for Memorial Day. We also started the process to become foster parents.

JUNE

In June we went on a lot of hikes, I turned 24 and we found out I was pregnant. I also wrote about becoming foster parents.

JULY

o

In July we celebrated the 4thdid even more hikes, and went camping with my family. Also Adele turned 18 months old and I wrote about going through a miscarriage that month.

AUGUST

In August we went to Lagoon, and Leland had his golden birthday, turning 29. We also found out we were pregnant again at the end of August.

SEPTEMBER

In September I wrote updates on Adele and Esther . And Esther started "preschool". Apparently nothing too interesting happened because I didn't blog much.

OCTOBER

In October we made it 12 weeks pregnant and announced the pregnancy. We also went to a corn maze and celebrated Halloween with Elsa and Anna.

NOVEMBER

In November we had family pictures taken, I wrote about our reasons for pursuing foster care, and we went to Southern Utah for Thanksgiving.

DECEMBER

In December we found out our baby is BOY! I wrote posts about cloth diapering and weaning and we had a wonderful month leading up to Christmas. We also ended the year celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary.

2017 was a big year for us! Between moving, 2 pregnancies and pursuing foster care, the year did not go at all how I envisioned it. But that's ok! We have had many trials and growing experiences, but also so many blessings and great memories made together. Here is to seeing what 2018 will bring us! Hopefully a little healthy boy baby come May. :)
