FORTY-FOUR, FORTY-FIVE, FORTY-SIX

November 1-November 21 2021

I am limping to the finish line with this weekly post thing, but I'm determined to finish it out. I have abandoned too many of my goals this year, so I gotta do this one.  Only a few weeks left of the year right?

Esther loved wading through these leaves in the pond. It was such a pretty area the kids played in this spot for hours while the moms talked.

These loaves are very hard work I am obligated to take a picture every single time, alright?

A picture of a sweet napping child who woke up at 4 am for the day! These kids are killing me with their horrible sleep.

Traditional baby in the leaves pictures.

These past few weeks we have very slowly passed around a stomach bug. One child with throw up and have a fever for 1-2 days. Then a week later another child, and on and on. I am so desperate for it to be over. Julian is the last man standing, and I'm hoping it was something he was exposed to before and already has immunity from. I'm very ready to move on from this sickness.

We got a new kitchen table! Let me tell you a little story about this table. Years ago I saw this table at Ikea. It cost $500. The price seems completely unaffordable at the time, but I kept my eye on it and said that when the time came for a bigger table I wanted that one. We had been using the table that my family used when we were kids, and that was special in it's own way, but it was in rough shape, as you can imagine after being used by small children for 30 years. So we wanted something bigger but I started to look at Ikea and I realized they didn't make the table I wanted anymore. I started looking on marketplace to see if anything would come up. Well I saw the exact ikea table! I jumped on it and we got it for $100. It seats 12-14 with all the leaves in and it just feels like a little nod from heaven. Like the Lord remembered my wish from all those years ago, and made sure I got it, and made sure I got all the kids too to fill such a big table. 💙

We watched my twin nephews for a week. That was an adventure. Luckily my mom was here helping. And when you're knee deep in kids, what's two more anyways?

More favorites from the girls journals.

Pretty much all day in the winter, the boys are playing magnatiles and duplos. Israel made all these cars and set up a "giff sop" (gift shop) for all the kids to come buy. It was darling. I when I look at this picture I will always remember his little voice saying "Mama? You wanna come buy a car at my giff sop?"

Moses and his teething also putting me through the wringer. One of his top teeth the through and the other is almost there so I'm really hoping I get at least a couple of weeks of peaceful sleep and decent naps from him.

He's so darling though I love him even if he doesn't sleep at night.

I dressed all the boys in plaid for church.

Esther said "Look Mama, I made Moses out of slime!" I don't know how it's possible that this creation is equal parts adorable and disturbing haha.

The Nightmare Before Christmas obsession lives on. Adele made these masks for her and Israel.

Two brothers.

Moses can finally sit! He's got a wide base and he looks so funny sitting.

Some pictures Esther took. No mom laying on the floor is ever safe. I love it though.

  1. That family table was bought in 1986 as my first table. 35 years old, held up pretty good I would say. :-)

    1. Oh cool, I knew it was someone’s in the family before my parents had it.
