5 Things for Friday
1. This week we had a very brief foster placement. I got the call Monday afternoon for a 4 year old boy, picked him up Monday night. Spent all of Tuesday home bound due to rain + a sick child. On Wednesday we took him to FatCats, where he had been really wanting to go. The kids all had fun. Then on Wednesday afternoon I got the call he was being moved with family, and an hour later he was gone. It was a crazy and somewhat stressful 48 hours, but we learned a lot and we hope he is happy in his new home.
3. Yesterday we met with our education specialist for Esther's school in the fall. I got to choose our curriculum that the school will order. I think I've written before, but she will go to school 1 day a week and we'll homeschool the other 4 days. She is really excited and I think it will be a great fit for us!
4. Last weekend Leland and I went on a little hiking date while some friends in the ward watched the kids. We are always looking for fun, cheap day dates ( so babysitters don't have to put the kids to bed) and this one hit all 3. Love this guy! (This hike is waterfall canyon in Ogden.)
5. This rainy weather though! I'm usually fine with a little rain and clouds but this has been non stop! Just a few months ago I was about to buy the kids some rain suits but decided not too because it really doesn't rain here all that much right? Now I wish I would have! We planned to do some hikes and yard work this 3 day weekend and we'll have to see if this crazy weather lets us.
2. Israel had his 12 month well check this week. He weighed 27lbs and was 32 inches. 98th% for both. He is still our big boy!
