2019 Hikes-Parley's Historic Nature Park

Last Friday we did another hike. This one is in SLC Millcreek area. It was a pretty easy 2 mile hike, half was a paved path and the other half was a dog park! I didn't know that when we started. It was fun too see sooooooo many different dogs. The kids were entertained. I was proud of Esther for walking the whole thing, even some pretty long hills! Adele walked about 1/4th of it but it was her nap time so she was pretty tired. Afterwards there was a playground again and somehow the kids had plenty of energy left for that. :)

At the park Adele made a friend and loved playing with her. So even though she looks unhappy in the pictures, she had fun too.

Also I've learned the key to happy hikes with kids is a lot of breaks. We stopped many times to play and once to nurse. It took us about 2 hours, so we always plan for a long time for these hikes and it makes it funner for everyone.
