4th of July 2019

For the 4th we went to our traditional parade. The kids love this parade more than life itself with all the cheap candy they throw, but it really is the worst parade haha. There aren't even any floats or horses, just cars driving by and throwing candy. We tolerate it for the kids. 

Afterward we came home and rested. Esther and I made our traditional 4th of July cake while Adele and Israel napped. There was a huge thunderstorm out of nowhere and we enjoyed watching the end of it from the porch. Then when there was a break in the rain we went to the pool. This was a reward for the girls for filling up their sleeping sticker chart and we all had a good time. Esther is getting really close to being able to swim, so she espeically loved it. Adele loved going down the twisty slide on our laps. 

Afterwards we went to our favorite, Burger Bar, for dinner, just as more storms started to roll in. Then we came home and put Israel to bed. We hung out for a bit and then Leland took the girls to watch the fireworks while I went to bed.  :) It was a fun filled day with just enough relax time too.
