Happenings
We have been easing into the hot summer days with three children again. It seems like June was fairly cool this year and it's gotten really hot again this year. The kids love playing in any kind of water as you can see by these pictures from Forest School last week. Israel is a little handful lately, he kept eating the nasty water and mud. The girls loved when the bigger kids helped them catch tadpoles.
The girls are to the age where they remember traditions and prod us to do them. They realized we hadn't made homemade ice cream at all this year, so we remedied that and made strawberry ice cream in the ice cream maker for our family night treat. We often have them eat messy foods on the porch in the summer, so now whenever we have special treats they insist that they must be eaten on the porch. I hope they remember summer evenings and eating out on the porch of this house when they are older.
*also, no I'm not pregnant, just too much ice cream ;) *
Israel's first time trying peaches, he is a big fan.
Last weekend we hung out with friends at a park while the dad's did a hard hike. We love our friends the Clark's who have 3 kids the same gender and ages as ours. It rained on us a lot but the kids still had a blast at this super fun park in Bountiful.
On Monday Esther went to the hospital for a minor procedure. She was really brave and did so well. Afterwards she had a lot of pain, but we got through it and we are praying this fixes all her troubles.
Esther and Adele are so into taking pictures lately. For these pictures Esther posed Adele while I took them haha.
I never thought age three was hard with Esther. She was a wild one year old and got easier from there. Adele on the other hand, she is proving that the term "threenager" is accurate haha. She is adorable though and always keeps me laughing with her hilarious comments. I'll need to post them all soon, I have quite a few.
And if you want a good laugh here are our photos from the faceapp. I was laughing so hard at the one of the kids haha. Israel looks like a little snagglet-oothed old man.
