Summer Time
I feel like time just flies by after you have a baby. Isn't it still May? But here we are already halfway through June. I have taken to taking Israel outside in the evenings when he is fussy. It is nice to be able to rock him on the porch in the sunshine and he always calms right down.
We have mostly just been hanging at home so far this summer. Going out alone with four is a little overwhelming, so I've been staying home with them more. We've clocked in many hours playing in the backyard. These three entertain themselves pretty easily while out there (as long as I'm nearby to break up all the fights 😬) and Israel sleeps so well when outside.
Esther started swimming lessons last week. It is so cute to see her interacting with the kids and her teacher. She started off pretty timid but she is slowly getting braver, it has been great to see her progress. I was worried about keeping Adele and L happy while we're there but they love watching the swimming lessons and have been pretty well behaved while there.
L has visits with her bio family 2 days a week. It has made for lots of driving. So even though I say we mostly stay home, that's aside from the swimming lessons and visits we have going on. Buckling all of them in and out of the car is basically torture ha. But I usually take the girls to park while L has her visits and it's been pretty pleasant and they all come home exhausted and ready to nap.
Israel has the sweetest smiles lately.
Adele was here ⬇
We took our first walk as a family of 6 and I could only do it with Leland's help ha.
Last weekend we attemted a hike. We had my friend Alba come along to help and we couldn't have done it without her. Esther hiked the whole thing herself and did great. Israel slept through the whole thing and the 2 year olds begged to get out of their backpacks ha. It was so pretty though. This is my favorite hike and I wish we lived closer to it.
A little one on one date with Esther to get an ice cream cone.
