Fort Buenaventura
Today Esther and Adele and I went on our first field trip with Esther's school, Fort Buenaventura. We have been here a few times since we moved here but we haven't ever been when it is open. Esther's school is really great that they let younger siblings 3 and up participate in everything the students do during field trips. (Adele was proudly proclaiming to anyone within ear shot that she was a "snudent"). They allow younger siblings to come on all field trips too *praise* but luckily Leland ended up having the day off so he stayed home with Israel and Baby Boy.
You might have thought we won the lottery with how excited these two were to do the canoes. They both called it "rowing".
Esther requested to take a picture of these flowers she found during the nature walk.
Potato sack races. Esther was in the second heat.
Tug of war
Esther in the Pillory.
Not pictured were the mountain man presentations we listened to (my favorite part), playing red rover, exploring teepees, and the candy cannon.
It was a really fun day spent with my girls! I'm glad we get to have the best of both worlds with Esther's school this year. :)
