2019 Hikes- Bountiful Pond

On Monday after our weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's we stopped on our drive home for dinner at Culver's. (Their ice cream is so good!) Leland wanted to hurry and get a hike in since we were right next to the last one on his list, to finish the 20 hikes for the summer for his work challenge. Well we made it! Israel was so cranky he was squawking from the carrier on Leland's back the whole time. Esther and Adele did most of the 1.2 miles around the lake by themselves. It was a really pretty walk around the lake and I got some pretty pictures of the girls. 

On the pictures below you can see on the mountain where the fire in Bountiful burned a few days before. 

I'm proud of us for doing all these hikes this summer! We did at least 10 with Leland and that is pretty good for having 4 kids most of the summer. I have always loved hiking and after doing all these hiking challenges Leland finally enjoys it too. I wish we could do even more  than we are able to right now, but hopefully as our kids get older we will be able to do more. :)
