Halloween 2018

We had a great Halloween this year. We had three different Halloween activites. Our foster care families trunk or treat was a couple weeks before Halloween. Then we had our ward trunk or treat. My parents were visiting that day and the kids had a lot of fun there too.

On Halloween we took the kids to trick or treat at Leland's work. They loved it and got so much candy. Afterward we came home and had a little "Halloween party". Esther and I made mummy hot dogs. We also had "witches brew" aka rootbeer with dry ice. Only I didn't know you have to use dry ice right away. I bought it the night before so by the time we made it we only had a tiny piece left. It worked though. After that we played pin the smile on the ghost, then watched a movie, Curious George Boofest, while we handed out candy to trick or treaters. We were lame and didn't take the girls out trick or treating. They didn't know any different, but maybe next year. :)

Our Kitty, Ariel, Gorilla and "Plain Mermaid"

A few days after Halloween the girls were going a little (lot) crazy from all the sugar. So we took the girls to a dentist near by that trades their candy for cash. They got to keep 10 pieces each and traded the rest. They loved getting real money so it was a win-win.

Halloween was great this year. This little baby "gwilla" was the cutest thing ever. The girls were pretty adorable in their costumes too. Adele called Halloween "Hallowing" all month and it made me smile every time. I hope I always remember how fun and sweet holidays with them are at these ages.
