4th of July 2018
This year for the 4th of July we again went to the small town parade where we live. Esther has loved the parade and asked about it everytime we drove down that street for the past year. It is a pretty lame parade but they throw lots of candy so the girls love it ha.
We also attempted to participate in the bike parade this year. We decorated bikes the night before, but in the morning discovered Esther's tires were flat, we tried to fix them then ended up moving all the decorations to her old bike. (With a giant tantrum thrown in because she wanted to ride her frozen bike.) After all that we got to the park, couldn't find where they were doing the bike parade and missed it. The girls didn't care though, they were happy to play on the playground instead.
After that we came home and made our traditional 4th of July jello cake. Esther cut the strawberries herself. She is getting so big!
We decided to be boring parents and put the girls to bed before fireworks. Last year letting them stay up late was a mistake so we didn't want to risk it this time ha. We did do some small fireworks for them in the driveway and they were thrilled. It was a good 4th of July!
