Six Months with Adele

Adele turned six months on July 28th. She is getting so big. At her Dr.'s appointment today she weighed 21lbs 4oz (98th%) and was 26.5inches (71st%) with a 17 inch head circumference (75th%). She has outgrown her infant carseat so we moved her to a convertible carseat and she just seems so big now. She wears size 5 diapers (i swear her bum is bigger than Esthers lol) and size 12m shirts but her little legs are hard fit into pants so she pretty much never wears any haha. 

  She is scooting all over the place now! She does a funny little inchworm scoot and can go all over our apartment. Esther never scooted, just crawled so it has been fun too see. Adele sometimes gets up on hands and knees and is very close to real crawling. I know it is just a couple weeks away.

Adele has always loved tummy time. She is happiest playing on the floor. A few weeks ago I sat her up to see if she could sit and she totally could. She sat for a good 30 seconds before tipping over. I guess all that tummy time made her strong enough. Now she can sit for a few minutes unassisted.

Adele has started spacing out her feedings to every 3-4 hours pretty consistently now. I have been able to leave her for more than 30 minutes so that has been nice. She still won't take a bottle or binky but does like her sippy cup. We have also started her on solid foods. She was so ready! She would stare at us whenever we were eating and if I was holding her she would try to swipe whatever  I was eating. So far she loves gnawing on things herself instead of spoon feeding but we have been doing both. She has had corn, squash, sweet potatoes, peppers and watermelon so far. 

Adele is starting to grow out of her reflux and consequently is starting to sleep better now. She usually goes to bed at 7 or 8, then I feed her around 10 before we go to sleep, then she is usually up again at 1 sometimes, or if it is a good night she will sleep until 4 or 5 and nurse then sleep until 7 or 8am. She takes 3 naps a day. She has decided that her crib is overrated so she usually naps in her swing or on our bed surrounded by pillows. Since she sleeps in our bed at night I barely wake at all to nurse her so it isn't quite as bad as it sounds ha. 

Adele is generally a happy baby and laughs very easily. She loves Esther and is always watching her and laughing at her. She loves toys and will cry if one of her toys get away from her. Everywhere we go people comment on her cheeks and her rolls haha. We love our chubby little baby.
