Putting Up the Tree

I'm usually an after Thanksgiving Christmas celebrator, but with this being Esther's first Christmas I couldn't wait any longer to put the tree up. We are going to be gone for Thanksgiving, so I wanted to enjoy the tree a little longer this year. 

Esther is fascinated by lights right now so it was so fun to see her get excited for the tree. She just kept staring and staring. We let her play with a little plastic ornament and she was in heaven. 

In my family we always had a tradition of taking turns putting the star or angel on top of the tree. I wanted to keep that tradition going so we let Esther put the star on the top of the tree. :) Leland thought it was silly but he obliged anyways. 

Esther loves looking at the tree and so far hasn't tried to touch it at all, so win win. 

After we were done we watched Disney's Christmas sing along songs. We watched this  every Christmas when I was growing up, so I wanted Leland to see it. Luckily we found the full thing on youtube. 

I am so excited for Christmas!
