Six Months Old!

I can't believe this little girl is six months already! It has gone by so fast! All the other months she still seemed like a "little" baby, now she is my big baby, and soon she will be a toddler! She is sitting like a pro now, starting to eat solid foods, and laughing all the time. 

Even though the lighting on this picture is really bad, I had to post it because Esther is always sucking on her toes. About 90% of the time, whether sitting of laying down, she is folded in half to get to her toes. 

The cords look horrible in this pic, but that little profile just melts me. She definitely has blue eyes, but sometimes they look light blue like Leland's and sometimes they look dark blue like mine. 

I've heard some moms say that they can't wait until their baby gets older and starts doing more things, but I am totally the opposite. I am sad every month because Esther is that much older and I always worry that I haven't documented that stage enough, or that I will forget it later on. Hence, the very large number of pictures in this post haha. But I am trying to enjoy her as she is now and look forward to the things she will learn, instead of missing the tiny newborn that she used to be. 

She still loves baths, and going outside. She also likes being fed real food, licking/biting/sucking on everything and she is starting to love animals, especially my parent's cats. 

She doesn't like being restrained, laying on her back, or going to sleep. 

Her blonde hair is getting thicker and longer now, I love it. She has also reached the age where she can easily be distracted if she is fussy, so that is really nice. She takes 3 naps a day and usually goes to bed around 8:00. She sleeps until about 12am then wakes up to nurse as soon as I get home from work, and then she usually sleeps until 5-6am when i feed her again, and then she goes back to sleep until 7 or 8am. So she is still waking up a more often than I would like, but hopefully it is just a stage. She still has no teeth, so hopefully her frequent wakings can be attributed to teething.

She makes a ton of funny faces so it is hard to get a picture of her while smiling. 

We sure love this cute and silly girl!
