FIFTY-TWO

 December 28 2021-December 31 2021

Well I've made it to the last week of the year! This year has been... a year...I 'm glad I've kept up with these posts though. My plan for the new year is to continue posting like I have in the past but maybe make my posts a little more coherent, and also to take more pictures with my real camera and improve my photography.

After Christmas we headed down to Bennett's house in Hurricane. We used to make this 5 hour drive all the time but now the kids struggled a bit. We had to stop quite a few times but we made it there. My mom rented an AirBnb for us near Bennett's house. It was fun to revisit southern Utah and our old stomping grounds since we haven't been there for about 3 years.

Our plan was to visit Zion National Park. There was some winter weather warnings in the park, but luckily the roads up there were fine. All of Zion Canyon was quite snowy.  I had never seen it in the snow and it was so beautiful. I spent the whole time wishing I had not forgotten my camera, but  I got some great pictures with my phone too.

Can you see the waterfall in the picture below?

Someone offered to take a picture of the whole group of us.

My snuggly little snow bear was happy to be carried the whole way. He kept looking up into the sky as little dots of snow fell on his face.

Moses hasn't seen too many other babies. He wasn't sure what to make of cousin Kennedy.

Zion's was the third National Park we've visited since we got our pass in May. I hope we can visit a few more before our pass expires. It was fun for the kids to experience it (this was the last time we went there). I would like to see it again in the summer but it's just so crowded I don't know if we will, maybe in a few years. We saw a lot of deer and Esther even saw a big horned sheep when we were there.

Our airbnb had a hot tub. These children were thrilled to be in basically a giant bath tub. It took me back to this and this. It's so crazy to me to look back at those pictures. Julian, Israel and Moses were not even thought of! Life was so different, yet still the same, we still are toting around a chubby baby at least. But I digress.

Pizza Party at Uncle Bennett's house.

These girls are obsessed with Kennedy.

My favorite times of day are when I get to snuggle this baby to sleep.

We stopped by "Grandma's Dinosaur Park" as the kids have dubbed it, before we left. It was drizzly, but the kids didn't mind. That just meant we had the whole thing to ourselves.

A messy picture but the girls loved that both the cats slept on their bed.

And to end some pictures of our little angel. I can't believe how quickly he is growing!
