Halloween

 Ok, I am so behind on the blog but trying to catch up a little bit before we call it a year. 

A few weeks before Halloween we went to a homeschool friend's harvest party. The kids were invited to dress up like book characters. We had Mary, Laura and Almanzo, and then Frodo and Gollum. :) It was too cold to let baby boy be naked so his costume didn't really turn out. The girls loved all the compliments they got when they would ask every adult at the party "Don't we look JUST like Laura and Mary?" 

Pumpkin carving- Rickelle and Jack came over and helped us carve all these pumpkins! Kel's is the cat, Leland helped Esther with the mermaid, Jack helped Julian with the spiderman, I helped Adele with a "cute ghost" and Leland did Israel's Mickey Mouse. 

For Halloween itself, we went to a party with friends, then on Halloween night everything was canceled so we just took the kids trick or treating up and down out street. They didn't get the huge haul like they usually do from trick or treating at Leland's office, but it was still fun. We had a mermaid, Minnie Mouse, Spider-man, Mickey Mouse and Figaro, the black kitty.
