Adele’s Baptism
On February 3rd out sweet second born, Adele was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Adele had been looking forward to her baptism for years, so this was a special and exciting day for her!
We went to our temple a few days before and took these pictures of her. She wore the same dress that Esther wore for her baptism.
Adele loves the gospel and was so ready to be baptized. She understood that this was the first step on the covenant path. We had many discussions about covenants leading up to her big day.
Being in a new stake meant things were done differently here. We didn't have talks or printed programs but Adele did want to have a musical number. Esther, Julian and Israel sang with her while I accompanied them. There were a few kids getting baptized that day, so there was quite a big crowd, and the kids did great singing in front of all those people.
They sang "Step by Step".
Someone snuck a picture right before the baptism. Esther and I were the witnesses. I love how seriously Esther took her job. :)
We had so many people come to the baptism, it was great! Adele wanted to invite all her friends, and since lots of our friends have big families there were alot of people at our house after. It was a party! Which I loved. Our new house was made for hosting so it feels great to have it filled with people. Sadly I was too busy to get any pictures but it was a great time.
Adele is such an amazing person. She radiates light and love and people are drawn to her. She has a depth of spirituality and compassion that is constantly surprising me. I am so grateful for her! 💖
