Lagoon

Last weekend my family came up and we went to Lagoon on Saturday. We went three years ago when Esther was a baby, but we hadn't been back since. So we were all excited but especially Esther. Every time we have driven past Lagoon in the past two years she had wanted to go. I'm glad we finally made it happen.

Esther was pretty scared of any ride that went fast, or went high in the air. She loved the carousel and absolutely had to ride on the kitty every time. If someone else was on the kitty she wanted to wait until the next time so she could be first in line and get the kitty. Luckily everyone in my family has been to Lagoon loads of time, so we were all happy to focus on the kids and make sure Esther got the kitty every time. #spoiled Later in the day she got her face painted like a "kitty princess" and her day was made.

Adele loved the carousel and all the rides. She would shout "FUN" and "WHEE"! It was adorable. Some of the rides were a little sketchy and I was worried about her falling or climbing out. Luckily it never happened.

Esther was very nervous about any ride that was outside of kiddie land. She would beg to go and be hyped in the line, but once we got on and started moving then she would have the death grip on me and start whining/crying. On this ride she didn't like getting sprayed. She talked all day about the  "naughty dolphins" that kept spraying us.

One of the rides where she screamed and cried loudly the entire time. There were kids smaller than her on the ride and I thought she would like it ha. She was begging to go, but after that I learned my lesson and only took her on slow rides.

Sweet little Adele took a long nap in the stroller. I was so glad. She was worn out by 11am and it would have been a very long day if she missed her nap.

When we talked about going to Lagoon Esther was a little sad that it wasn't Disneyland. Of course once we got there she loved it. But before going I told her there was a Dumbo ride just like at Disney and she was excited. This happened to be one that the parents can't go on so we put her and Adele on (Adele is on the inside, you can't see her). As soon as it started going Esther pulled the lever to go all the way up, then the whole ride she was terrified of being so high, but wouldn't let go of the lever.

All in all it was a great day. As you can see, the rides Esther was terrified of were far fewer than the ones she loved. I'm glad we got to take the girls to a place I have so many childhood memories of. :)
