Texas Trip 2025

    I'm finally posting pictures about our trip to Texas in Summer of 2025. Hopefully I'll be able to back post this so it appears in the proper place on my blog. We went to Texas in July of 2025 for a family reunion. I maybe would have fonder memories of Texas if it wasn't always JULY when we visit! The heat and humidity are just SO bad, especially when I'm pregnant, which I was on this trip. (13 weeks or so with baby Faye). However, we flew instead of drove this time so that made the trip immensely better. We took our 3 year old foster son Mac with us, so our children were 11, 9, 8, 7, 4, 3, and 2 when we went. 

    We had not planned to go to Texas again so soon since we had already gone for in 2024 for the eclipse. However, it was Leland's parent's 50th wedding anniversary and his mom really wanted the family to come together to celebrate the occasion. Leland's brother, Alexander offered his house to host the reunion so we stayed there. It had been several years since we had seen some of Leland's siblings so we were grateful to go. 

    This trip was different from our other's because we pretty much just stayed in one location, rather than road tripping all over. We mostly stayed at Alexander's house and swam in his pool, played board games and karaoke with cousins. We also went to a six flags water park, bowling and to church. We had one fun night where we played kickball together. It was a really fun time and I'm glad my kids could get in some time with their Texas cousins.
