39 Weeks with #2

So I have officially made it full term! This past weekend we went down to Southern Utah for Bennett's homecoming. It was a quick trip, but I didn't want her to come before that. Now I am ready for her :)

Today at my appointment I had my first cervical exam. I am 2cm dilated and 75% effaced. I was very happy to hear this! With Esther even when I was induced at 41 weeks I was still only 1cm. I am hoping to go into labor on my own sooner than that, but I am have not hit that "super done being pregnant" phase yet. But ask me this time next week and I'm sure I'll have hit it.

One reason I am not super anxious for her to come yet is I still feel like I have a ton that needs to be done. I have all the baby gear and clothes ready and a few freezer meals made, I just need to work on cleaning. I made this huge list of deep cleaning to do and I have barely touched it. Is there a such thing as being too lazy for nesting? Lol. The main problem is Esther and her horrible sleeping. She has been regressing with her sleeping the past couple months but the last few weeks she has hit a new low. She refuses to sleep unless one of us are in her bed with her at all times. Even then she would mess around for hours before going to sleep. I was trying to just deal with it and hope she would improve on her own but she's just been getting worse. After a couple nights of getting only like 4 hours of sleep we have decided to let her cry it out in her room. We started tonight and she is currently still crying so yeah, sometimes parenting is the worst. Hopefully all of this leads to her sleeping better. Anyways the point of that was to say that during the day I'm too tired to get anything done and at night we spend hours just trying to get her to sleep, so nesting will probably just be happening the day I go into labor.

My family and I have been making predictions about the baby. With Esther she was born 8 days past her due date and was 7lbs 11oz and 20.5 inches long. She was also born at 3:22am after a 22 hour labor. Here are my predictions for baby #2.

Birthday: January 23rd (39 weeks 6 days)
Time: 10:22pm
Weight: 7lbs 14oz
Length: 21 inches
Length of labor: 10 hours (wishful thinking haha)
I also predict she will have a lot of hair like Esther, maybe red because I had a dream she was born with red hair haha.

Here are Leland's predictions

Birthday: January 26th (40 weeks 2 days)
Time: 10:42pm
Weight: 8lbs 1oz
Length: 20 inches
Length of labor: 7 hours

Feel free to leave your predictions in the comments and we'll see who is closest :)
